Timberwolves vs Spurs Game 6 Prediction NBA Playoffs – May 16

San Antonio heads to Minnesota on Friday night with a chance to end the series and book their spot in the next round. The Spurs lead 3-2 and have found answers for everything the Timberwolves have thrown at them. Victor Wembanyama is a problem Minnesota simply cannot solve, and De’Aaron Fox is quietly doing just as much damage. Game 6 tips off May 16 and the Wolves need a win to stay alive.

🏀 Timberwolves vs Spurs Game 6 Prediction NBA Playoffs: D. Fox Over 17.5 Points @1.91

Table of Contents

Spurs Overview:

San Antonio looked like the better team for most of this series and Game 5 proved it beyond doubt. Six Spurs players scored at least 12 points in that win, and that kind of depth is exhausting Minnesota’s defense night after night.

Wembanyama grabbed at least 15 rebounds in four of the first five games, and his pick-and-pop three-pointer has become impossible to guard. When Gobert closes out, Wembanyama drives past him or draws a foul, and San Antonio forced 13 turnovers in Game 5 by simply loading up on the ball and daring Minnesota to make the right pass.

Timberwolves Overview:

The Wolves are running out of time and running out of solutions. Minnesota ranks 11th in half-court offensive efficiency in the playoffs, and Julius Randle has made things worse by attacking contact instead of finding open teammates.

Anthony Edwards is not at full health, and the team’s outside shooting has been far too inconsistent to trouble a Spurs defense that openly leaves shooters open because it does not believe they will pull the trigger.

Minnesota stole Game 1 by catching San Antonio off guard and grabbed Game 4 when Wembanyama was ejected, but blowing Game 3 cost them any breathing room and now they must win back-to-back games to survive.

Best Bet Arguments for De’Aaron Fox Over 17.5 Points

Fox has topped his points prop in three straight games, including 18 points in Game 5 despite playing on sore ankles. Minnesota played Gobert a playoff-low 23 minutes in Game 5 by going small, which opened up driving lanes that Fox attacks better than anyone on this Spurs roster. Fox ranks second on the team in points in the paint at 9.0 per game, and with Gobert expected to see limited minutes again, those lanes stay open all night.

Primary Fox defender Ayo Dosunmu is injured, leaving an aging Mike Conley as the main option to slow him down. Jaden McDaniels, one of the few Wolves players with success against Fox this series, is expected to shift focus toward Wembanyama in Game 6, giving Fox even more room to operate. To bet D. Fox to score at least 18 points at 1.91 is a strong value play on a guard who keeps delivering when it matters most.
